Job Description
This temporary position is responsible for data clean up and BOM restructuring for data transfer, processing documents and /or Engineering Change Orders (DCO / ECO) maintaining control over records that are part of the Quality System and ensuring document and record control procedures follow ISO.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Reviews data
· Performs data entry to restructure BOM’s
· Adheres to configuration control requirements, processes and procedures as well as perform ongoing configuration audits
· Works with other departments on continuous improvement of the Enterprise Change Order (ECO) process
· Plays a key role with the implementation and maintenance of Product Data Management (PDM)
· Maintains all departmental quality documentation and various configuration management software applications (e.g., iPro/SAP)
· Enforces Copy Exact policy and any other applicable policies
· Uses Configuration Management guidelines to coordinate the flow and completion of documentation associated with ECO’s and Deviations Reviews
· Coordinates with other departments in facilitating ECO’s and tracks to ensure that they are complete in a timely manner for all product changes
· Releases original issues of product data
· Releases parts and documents to production (in ERP system)
· Conducts verification on implemented ECO to ensure redline of intended change matches what was specified on the ECO request and/or obtains verification from engineers.
· Provide administrative support
· Other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Works in standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier- scanner – etc.)
· Overtime may be required
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Excellent data entry skills
· Attention to detail
· Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt existing computer skill set to new computer programs
· Must display a high level of professionalism working with all levels of personnel
· Uses personal judgment with tact and diplomacy to resolve problems with limited instruction
· Ability to work well with minimal supervision
· Handles multiple priorities throughout the day
· Works well with interruptions
· Ability to effectively manage a workload in a stressful or system-critical environment
· Displays a team approach to responsibilities while balancing multiple tasks
· Ability to manage priorities and demonstrate a high level of initiative
· Knowledge of Copy Exact, ECO forms and documents (e.g., bill of material, ECR’s, engineering change notification)
· Experience with software programs including MS Office, ERP and Adobe Acrobat
EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of one year of experience in Document Control or related fields such as production planning, material control, records and information management
· Experience coordinating with different configuration control activities
· Experience in documentation and engineering drawing control, and distribution processes
· Experience with common office software applications: LAN and internal/external information network systems, including Internet and Intranet applications, ERP and Microsoft Office
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
