Job Description
The Power Engineer IV formulates design concepts for engineering problems. They also lead technical projects, monitor project scope, and respond to engineering concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in the design and development of switch mode power supplies and magnetic components; transformers and inductors
- Well versed in DC/DC converter topologies and able to perform worst-case circuit and thermal analyses and evaluate new technologies for power electronics
- Respond to engineering and maintenance concerns
- Provide design engineering support on emergent issues
- Formulate design concepts for engineering problems and sets scope and parameters of projects
- Participate in project planning and implementation
- Monitor project scope and confirm changes using project management processes
- Support the development and maintenance of processes, procedures, and work instructions
- Initiate and lead technical studies and projects
- Accurately record and store test measurements, data, and results
Qualifications:
- SPICE Software (Advanced)
- CAD Software (Intermediate)
- MathWorks MATLAB (Intermediate)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced)
- Integration Testing
- Hardware Testing Methods
Experience
- 10 years of experience related to role with BS
- 6 years of experience related to role with MS
Education
• BS or BA degree typically required in a related field of study.
