Job Description
This temporary position for up to one year performs manufacturing engineering work in an electronics manufacturing production floor environment.
Responsibilities
Supports manufacturing engineering efforts in determining time standards and estimating costs. Makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements for existing product lines.
· Implements manufacturing industry best known methods in support of continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and effectivity of Production.
· Diagnoses issues of routine to moderately complex scope with design, field performance, reliability, and test yields of products and recommends and implements corrective actions.
· Responsible for many aspects of programs or projects and corresponding administrative documentation and paperwork.
· Recommends and prepares changes, additions, and modifications which will facilitate manufacturing.
· Reviews product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility of processing methods.
· Supports design for manufacturability analysis on new products
Work Environment
Production Floor environment which is fast-paced and can be noisy.
Skills
Ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be obtained.
· Ability to apply company policies and procedures to solve routine issues.
· Ability to use professional concepts appropriate to engineering, including analytical methods, computer aided analysis/design tools, diagnostic instruments, test equipment.
· Ability to solve moderate technical problems with minimal assistance.
· Knowledge of electronics.
Experience
Prefer 1 year or more experience, but no experience is required
Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science or similar or equivalent experience.
