Job Description
Responsible for generation and revision of detailed design drawings of custom highly
sophisticated and technologically advanced Industrial x-ray inspection systems.
Job Description:
• Work closely with the Mechanical and System Engineering teams responsible for the design of
electro-mechanical and/or material handling systems.
• Transform initial rough concept designs into detailed final design documents using Solidworks
• Modify existing designs and documents, as needed.
• Review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications, internal
guidelines, quality standards and national codes and standards.
• Produce and/or validate design calculations to verify design
• Generate, revise, and finalize BOMs
• Interact with a cross-disciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, software, imaging) to
generate and edit 2D and 3D designs using Solid Works
• Provide support to Technical Writing and Project management Teams in the creation of technical
documentation, system manuals, and customer facing documentation
Essential Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• An Internship or prior work experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering design environment.
• At least one (1) year of experience using solidWorks
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work to schedules under time constraints in a dynamic environment
• Proactive, team player with established verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent resident who is legally authorized to work in the US and able
to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
Non-Essential Skills:
• Working knowledge of pneumatics
• Familiarity with motion control products and standard motor/gearbox components
• Experience generating detail designs, documents, and drawings for electro-mechanical systems
incorporating the use of robotics, conveyance, automation and/or part manipulation.
• Understanding of applicable local, State, federal & EU codes and design requirements
• Familiarity using an MRP or ERP system
