Job Description
Performs general and cost accounting functions. Prepares analyses as well as accounting reports according to GAAP.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical advice and guidance according to Federal/State Regulations and GAAP.
- Gather financial information to prepare journal entries
- Prepare monthly & quarterly financial package
- Responsible for monthly detailed analysis of major GL accounts.
- Gather information and prepares various audits and gov’t surveys.
- Maintain intercompany billing and reconciliation.
- Maintain commission schedule and prepares for commission payments.
- Weekly and monthly Cash Forecasts.
- Responsible for preparation of budgeting and cash flow reports.
- Maintain all a positive work environment by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, and vendors.
- Support, review, & reporting of program finance EACs, ETCs, Manpower Requirements, & Material Disbursements
- Responsible for running monthly closing (in Costpoint)
- Monitor & record capital equipment (fixed assets)
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree Accounting or equivalent
- 5 – 8 years general accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency
- Financial Planning & Analysis experience
- Government accounting experience highly preferred
- EVMS a plus
