Job Description
Operates Surface Mount Technology (SMT) automated electronic manufacturing pick and place equipment to manufacture PC Boards to meet production schedules and performance standards. Performs periodic clean-up and machine maintenance. RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads and follows assembly prints, schematics, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications.
Performs set-up and programming of automated SMT pick and place machines to manufacture PC Boards to meet production and performance standards. Operates reflow oven, screen printer and stencil cleaner.
Performs touch-up soldering as needed. Keeps accurate and up-to-date records. · Participates in troubleshooting and problem solving. Recognizes equipment and product problems, notifies supervisor and/or troubleshoots errors in order to achieve optimum production levels. Interfaces with others to communicate issues, troubleshoot failures, and maintain a high standard of quality and repeatability in processes, products, and machinery. Other duties as assigned. Primarily works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced. Because of the nature of the product being produced, high voltage and current conditions exist and appropriate precautions must be observed.
